Thank You

WHO FUNDS THE SOCIETY?

We do not receive any government funding although the state government has kindly granted us the land for use of our present premises. We depend solely on generous donations from the public,occassional pledges from our local MPs and annual fund-raising activities. Our ISPCA van was generously donated by the RSPCA. We urge all animal lovers to include the ISPCA in their list of favourite charities. All donations will be issued a tax-exempt receipt unless specified otherwise. It is preferable if donations are sent by cheques issued to "Ipoh Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals" instead of cash.

HISTORY

The Ipoh Society for the Preventation of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) is a non-profit organization formed under the Societies Act,1966.

    The objectives and goals of the Society are:
  • to prevent cruelty to animals;
  • to encourage the adoption of strays from the ISPCA;
  • to provide care and shelter for unwanted animals until they are adopted;
  • to inculcate an attitude of kindness and caring for animals;
  • to encourage the neutering of pets by their owners.

We do not believe in practising euthanasia on healthy animals. We are an affiliate of RSPCA,UK.

A WORD OF APPRECIATION

Apart from a small paid workforce, the ISPCA is dependent on volunteers namely Mrs. Doreen Laidlaw, Mrs. Yeoh Seng Choon and our dedicated volunteer vets. Volunteers are also recruited to help in fundraising activities and public awareness talks and exhibitions. To those who love animals, please spare your time and consider being a volunteer.

Help us feed and care for the unwanted strays of Ipoh by joining us as a member or alternatively, by sponsorship. Please click here for details.
