WHERE ARE WE?
This is a commonly asked question. Ipoh residents will remember that we used to be located at
Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab. Unfortunately, a fire destroyed the old building on the
night of 31 December 1992. Nevertheless, as we had nowhere else to re-locate to, we continued
occupying the old premises until the Perak State government granted us permission in 1995 to occupy
a 2.5 acre piece of land outside Ipoh.
And how does one get there? Just head down Jalan Gopeng, from Ipoh town centre and
go past the Chinese cave temples popularly known around here as Sam Poh Tong, and the pomelo stalls on the lefthand side. When you see a "Mobil
Lubricants" sign on the same side of the road, you're near your turning. Turn left at our
ISPCA signboard, and head on in until you see another ISPCA signboard. It's easy!
We are, as they say, literally, "in the hills". Our premises are set against the hillside,
in scenic surroundings and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Do come and visit
us. The animals are a friendly bunch, and the humans aren't too bad either!
